l = [] # empty list

for index in range(len(mylist)):

#print(mylist[index],index)

x,y = mylist[index],index

t = (a,b) #tuple

l.append(t)

print(l)

original_list = ['a', 'b', 'c']

indexed_list = [(value, index) for index, value in enumerate(original_list)]

print(f"Original list: {original_list}")

print(f"Indexed list: {indexed_list}")

Output:

Original list: ['a', 'b', 'c']

Indexed list: [('a', 0), ('b', 1), ('c', 2)]
